How To Correct The Problem?
Once you have found the problem, it is time to resolve it. The problem resolution is not much hard as well. Just a few steps and the problem is over.
Shut off the water connection to prevent the water from reaching the toilet through the supply line.
Remove the tank lid. Drain out maximum water using flush. If you hold the toilet flapper as high as possible so that all of the water is gone.
Hold the toilet tank firmly with one hand and then tighten the nut using the pliers. It is important to be careful as if you tight the plastic valve, it may break.
After fighting the nut at the connection, make sure that there is some water in the tank’s bottom.
Check the possible leakages and if you are sure that there is no problem, fill the entire tank. In case there is some leakage make sure to tighten the nut again.
In due course of tightening, make sure to check the seal as well.
If it is the seal in the top connection leaking, then make sure to repair or replace it.
