Bathroom fan covers can get dirty very quickly; if not maintained regularly, they may need to be changed sooner than you think.
Although, it is better to remove your broan bathroom fan cover, clean it properly and screw it back up.
This will not only save replacement costs but will also save you from the embarrassment of a dirty fan cover.
If the fan cover is dirty and clogged, your exhaust fan may not work properly as the dirt hamper the ventilation process.
Removing a broan exhaust fan is quite simple. All you have to do is remove the screws and clips to slide out the fan cover.
Like every time, let’s go through the step by step process:
Step 1 You Know It: Turning Off The Electricity Supply
When working with any electric item, it is always important to cut off the electricity supply to save you from shock.
Make sure you turn off the circuit breaker that supplies electricity to that particular bathroom you are working in.
Before you turn down the electricity, make sure you have a torch and a stool ready to get the work started.
Step 2: Removing The Broan Bathroom Fan Cover
Check for any clips or screws that your broan bathroom fan cover may have. It all depends on which model of broan exhaust fan you have.
Usually, broan fan cover does not have any spring clamps, so do not pull down without double-checking for any screws.
Pulling down the broan fan cover may break it into two pieces.
Look for the number of screws and unscrew them to remove the broan fan light cover.
If you have a Nutone fan light cover, we have already covered that section.
Step 3: Clean Or Replace The Broan Bathroom Fan Cover
Once you have removed the fan cover, clean it using an old toothbrush or a cloth to remove all dirt. If you have a new cover with you, replace it with the old one you just removed.
