Kohler is the name behind the creation of faucets. What makes the Kohler’s faucets an outclass creation is the cartridge used within the faucets.

The cartridges are like the valve stem in conventional faucets. These cartridges control the flow of the water out of the spout.

If the cartridge has stopped working or there are other faulty signs of the cartridge, it means you need to replace it at once.

The entire procedure is straightforward to handle. Just remove a few parts of the faucet, and you can manage the things related to the cartridge.

Why Does The Cartridge Need To Be Changed?

The water drips from the faucet often. It is a sign of leakage because the water is dripping down if the faucet is working.

We often see the dripping under the handle area of the faucet. Sometimes, dirt and debris might collect in the valve so that the valve cannot control the water flow.

All these are the signs you have to replace the cartridge before things get out of hand.

How To Remove The Cartridge?

  1. Disconnect the water supply to the faucet that needs correction.  The water supply valve rests under the faucet. We can cut the supply down by simply rotating the handle to the right.
  2. Use the flathead screwdriver to remove the faucet cap. Take a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the faucet handle screw.
  3. Take away the metal ring around the faucet body.
  4. There is a plastic retention plate on the top of the faucet. It is the plate that is holding the cartridge. Remove it from the faucet and keep it aside.
  5. Use the pliers to pull out the cartridge. Twist the cartridge in the right direction to handle the task.
  6. The cartridge is out now. Put the new one and assemble the parts you took out.

Conclusion
