If you are thinking to start preparations for the next camping spree, don’t forget about getting the bathroom and the pop-up camper.
It is a must-have addition among the camping accessories.
Before investing and then adding the bathroom, it is important to remember considering the following things:
-
Type And Style Of Bathroom
Some pop-up campers already come with a bathroom, but it is essential to get the option that suits the individual needs if you need one.
The size of the camper also determines the style of the bathroom you need to consider. Three different kinds of bathrooms are there for campers.
- A dry bathroom is for campers that have limited space. A dry bathroom is similar to regular bathrooms in homes. All the components are arranged in a regular pattern and have an area of their own. The difference rests in size; it is smaller than wet bathrooms, and it is for this difference in size, many campers get the dry bathroom to save space.
- In wet bathrooms, the toilet and shower space are together. There is a drain on the waterproof floor as well. It is too compact, but for those who want to have less room for a bathroom, this is un-bothering.
- Cassette toilet is an essential component of dry and wet bathrooms. It is also possible to acquire just the cassette bathroom instead of fixing it to the former two. It is compact and can be stored under the bed or table when not in use. It is not a very popular option, but it can work pretty well if there is little space.

Working On The Toilet
It is not hard to understand the function of bathrooms for the pop-up camper.
To fix the toilet, check where the tank is. The holding tank must be accessible. It should not be in a completely closed chamber but instead, put in free space.
Fill the tank to the maximum levels. Most of the tanks have a glass tube on one side. These tanks help in keeping an eye on the water levels.
As the water level is half-inch from the top of the glass tube, it means that the tank is full. Use the drain to get rid of the water. You can remove the additional water with the help of a spout.
Know the different parts of the toilet well, so it becomes easier to operate. A standard camper toilet comes with a toilet seat, a knob leading to the valve blade.
Fill the cassette toilet by using the flushing knob or the valve blade. Once done, fill the toilet again if you like. Open the valve blade, and flush a few times.
After completing the flushing, close the valve blade. If the tank level indicator in the front turns red, it is time to empty the tank.
Before fixing the bathroom to the camper, it is crucial to learn about the minutest detail top avoid any problem.

There are dumping zones near the camping sites, so it relieves you from the stress of thinking about where to go for emptying.
Close the valve blade and securely push down the safety cap. As it turns yellow, pull out the tank using the handle.
Tilt the emptying spout to 90 degrees to remove the safety cap.
Use the handle to hold the tank properly. Avoid spills by holding the vent plunger and depressing it. Clear the tank into the waste removal space.
